September is an excellent time to check in with employees. The final quarter of the year check-ins are important because they give you an opportunity to identify, track, and maintain your organisational goals. It is much easier for employees to know what is expected of them and why when they are checking in with their manager on a quarterly basis.
We have designed a Quarterly Road Check which combines KPI’s/ Future Focus Objectives/ Company Values.
ROAD (REWARD, OBJECTIVES, APPRAISAL, DEVELOPMENT)
Imagine – you are on a Road, you want all employees to travel in the same direction, working to the same values but with different KPI’s/ objectives based on their particular section of the Road. You need all components of the Road to work together so that you can all drive towards the final destination.
Key Focus; How are you? Progress against KPI’s Demonstrating and living Values Setting new Objectives
Road Check-ins provide a simple format to allow both parties to structure their thoughts about their progress and future plans over the next quarter. Whilst documenting this feedback is important, it is the conversation between the appraiser and appraisee which will add most value.
